Perfect for Easter. This album came out my junior year of high school and stayed on repeat until I graduated, so I had to snag the repress.

CONVERGE - PETITIONING FOREVER (2nd PRESSING /1000)

Early Converge has such a distinct, raw feel to it. Part of me is happy that they’ve evolved into the behemoths they are now, but another part wants them to explore this angsty teen side at least once more. The Saddest Day is still a certified bedroom mosh song tho.

MELVINS - HOUDINI (2016 REISSUE)

People on Discogs have been shitting on this reissue, but honestly mine sounds perfectly fine. Much better than dropping $100 on an original pressing. Anyways, this album fucking rips.

TRAGEDY - CAN WE CALL THIS LIFE? 7" (1st PRESSING /?)

I spent months looking for this 7" at a decent price, since all the ones I found were going for $25-40. Finally found this NM copy on eBay for $10 shipped and had to pull the trigger. Love me some Tragedy.

CONVERGE - I CAN TELL YOU ABOUT PAIN 7" (1st PRESSING /1000)

I love Converge, but they’ve had this awful habit lately of putting their vinyl directly into the cardboard sleeves without any inner sleeves. Took a few cleanings for this to lose all the pops and crackles, but Eve rips so I can’t be too mad.

BOLT THROWER - THOSE ONCE LOYAL (5th PRESSING, RSD EDITION /1000

This has to be up there for one of the best Death Metal albums ever made, next to Death’s Symbolic and Individual Thought Patterns. Plus At First Light is a fucking fantastic album opener.

EXTORTION - LOOSE SCREWS 10" (1st PRESSING /100)

More drunken eBay steals. This is one of the albums that got me into powerviolence, along with Infest’s self titled 7". The red vinyl looks so good in person.

QUICKSAND - SELF TITLED 7" (1st PRESSING /5000)

The first release from this legendary post hardcore band. I prefer the Slip version of Omission but other than that this is a fantastic debut record.

ALL PIGS MUST DIE - SILENCER 7" (ONLY PRESSING /500)

I didn’t even have a turntable when I bought this. I just wanted the accompanying shirt that came with this and they would only sell it as a bundle. So this sat in my closet for 5 years and somehow got out unscathed.

INTEGRITY - WALPURGISNACHT 7" (5th PRESSING /?)

No pressing info is available for this, aside from it being “limited edition”. Ordered this from the A389 website and Dom threw in a bunch of stickers, an Ilsa CD, and a few To Die For inserts for free.

UNSANE - STERILIZE (1st PRESSING /300)

My pick for album of the year 2017. These guys age like a fine wine- each album is better than the one before it.
